Mr. Snyder directs all development activities for the Eye & Ear Foundation, including corporate and foundation grants, special events and planned giving in support of the academic and research missions of the University of Pittsburgh Departments of Otolaryngology and Ophthalmology and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center with the aim of enhancing the quality of patient care through advances gained through supported research. His responsibilities also include serving as the liaison between the Board of Directors of the Eye & Ear Foundation, UPMC and the University of Pittsburgh and enhancing public relations and awareness of the Foundation.

 

 

Prior to joining the Eye & Ear Foundation in December 2009, Mr. Snyder most recently served as Director of Development with the School of Pharmacy at the University of Pittsburgh. He has also held a fundraising appointment as Director of Development for University of Arizona Health Sciences, focusing primarily on Ophthalmology and Vision Science, the Sarver Heart Center, and the Center for Integrative Medicine.   Mr. Snyder holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from Rutgers University, a Master of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from University of Pittsburgh, and an MBA from Robert Morris University.

Ms. Walker is primarily responsible for enhancing public awareness of and support for the Eye & Ear Foundation through marketing and communications.  She oversees all aspects of this program, including annual appeals and other targeted direct mail campaigns, marketing publications, and website maintenance.  She also coordinates with the Executive Director in other Foundation development efforts and initiatives, including special events programs and maintenance of donor and financial records.

 

Ms. Walker joined the Eye & Ear Foundation in November 2006, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication degree from Robert Morris University.
