Mandate of Leadership

The Departments of Otolaryngology and Ophthalmology at the University of Pittsburgh are committed not only to the training of medical leaders, but also to the education of patients about the diseases and disorders they are challenged with.  They translate research into knowledge that will enhance patient care as well as patients’ understanding of their eye, ear, nose, and throat conditions.

The Eye & Ear Foundation advances this mandate of leadership by directing private support from generous donors to the resources and staffing needed to train the next generation of foremost physicians and surgeons, and the patients they treat.
