2009 Muse Prize
On September 17, 2009, the Eye & Ear Foundation Board of Directors proudly presented Gregory T. Wolf, MD with the 2009 Albert C. Muse Prize for Excellence in Otolaryngology. With outstanding leadership and ground-breaking research, Dr. Wolf has led a distinguished career that has made a tremendous impact on the head and neck cancer field for physicians and patients worlwide.
Fox Center for Vision Restoration
Thursday, June 18, 2009 marked the establishment of a joint effort between UPMC Eye Center and McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine - the Louis J. Fox Center for Vision Restoration of UPMC and the University of Pittsburgh. Thanks to a generous gift and UPMC's matching pledge, the Center will pioneer research and therapies to restore sight for people suffering from vision impairment.
